Tata Power places US$ 190 million order on Regen Powertech
Regen Powertech, India’s largest manufacturer of MW class gearless wind turbines, received an order from Tata Power Company Limited for 99 units of V77-1.5 MW wind energy converter, totaling to 148.50 MW for a total value of approximately US$ 190 million. Regen Powertech is thankful to Tata Power for the confidence reposed by placing this valuable order, which represents the single largest order in wind energy sector during FY 2010 - 11.
The Tata Power Company Limited, India's largest integrated private sector power utility with an installed generation capacity of nearly 3000 MW has emerged as a pioneer in the Indian power sector, with a track record of performance, customer care and sustained growth. Tata Power has a presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), transmission and distribution.

The order includes two projects comprising of 99 MW in Tamilnadu (66 units of V77-1.5 MW wind energy converters) and 49.50 MW in Maharashtra (33 units of V77-1.5 MW wind energy converters). The contract includes supply, installation, commissioning and a service and maintenance agreement.
