ReGen in VIDULKA – Energy Symposium at Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka's Power and Energy Ministry jointly with Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA) organized a national energy exhibition, an energy week and the National Energy Efficiency Award ceremony from August 3-8, 2010at the BMICH in Colombo.

The Vidulka, Energy Symposium was organised by SLSEA the part of the Event.

ReGen took part in Vidulka and exhibit our product.

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa who inaugurated the event visited our stall on August 3. Power and Energy Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka was also present on that occasion.

Tata Power places US$ 190 million order on Regen Powertech

Regen Powertech, India’s largest manufacturer of MW class gearless wind turbines, received an order from Tata Power Company Limited for 99 units of V77-1.5 MW wind energy converter, totaling to 148.50 MW for a total value of approximately US$ 190 million. Regen Powertech is thankful to Tata Power for the confidence reposed by placing this valuable order, which represents the single largest order in wind energy sector during FY 2010 - 11.


The Tata Power Company Limited, India's largest integrated private sector power utility with an installed generation capacity of nearly 3000 MW has emerged as a pioneer in the Indian power sector, with a track record of performance, customer care and sustained growth. Tata Power has a presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), transmission and distribution.


“We are excited to receive this new order from a reputed customer like Tata Power. We appreciate Tata Power’s strong commitment to the renewable energy sector, and we look forward to working closely with them to achieve our common goal – a sustainable future,” says Madhusudan Khemka, Managing Director of Regen Powertech.


The order includes two projects comprising of 99 MW in Tamilnadu (66 units of V77-1.5 MW wind energy converters) and 49.50 MW in Maharashtra (33 units of V77-1.5 MW wind energy converters). The contract includes supply, installation, commissioning and a service and maintenance agreement.




Regen receives prestigious KAIZEN Award

Regen was felicitated with outstanding Presentation Award in KAIZEN Competition conducted by Quality Circle forum of India (QCFI) Chennai Chapter, CCKC - 2010 conducted on 20th June'10 at Hotel Green Park, Chennai.


Theme: - KAIZEN – A TOOL FOR ENHANCING COMPETITIVENESS.

94 teams from all leading industries in Chennai, participated in the competition. Regen was represented by a team of Mr. Elamaran A. and Mr. Karthick J. from our TADA factory from Generator Manufacturing Division. Mr. M. Muthia SR .VP. – HR Corbundum Universal Ltd. was the Chief Guest. ReGen Team presented the KAIZEN - Development of an automated fixture to conduct No load test for our generators thereby eliminating human fatigue, reducing testing time and improving the consistency in testing. This presentation won the Excellent Presentation Award. This is the FIRST time our company participated in Kaizen competition




ReGen conducted a three days Business plan meeting at Kodaikanal from 16-18 April 2010

A three days Business plan meeting was conducted at Kodaikanal from 16-18 April 2010 by ReGen Powertech. The objective of the meet were to share the vision and three years targets with its employees, diagnose the performance of the year 2009-10, finalization of the Business plan for next 3 yrs, development of action plan for the year 2010-11 and improvement of  the work and process flow. The meet was attended by 65 member team including representatives from Everstone.

Apart from business session the programme included entertainment, morning exercise, sightseeing and shopping.

The three days meet provided an opportunity for the participants to understand each other and develop a good rapport.

 



Phase II Expansion of our factory

A small pooja was done on Monday April 12 2010 at our factory to launch the construction for Phase II expansion plan. In Phase II three No. of sheds have been planned for manufacturing of Nacelle, Hub and Converter manufacturing assembly. The shop floor will be expanded by an area of nearly 9000 sq mt.




Regen Powertech has successfully commissioned a 7.5 MW Wind Power Project

Regen Powertech has successfully commissioned a 7.5 MW Wind Power Project (5 x 1.5 MW WEG) from M/s Jindal Saw Ltd at Surajbari in Gujarat Regen will also be providing service and maintenance for commissioned WEC.
